What You'll Learn

Mid-State’s Substance Abuse Disorder Counselor (SUDC) program is designed for individuals interested in working with addiction issues. You will develop skills in counseling, diagnosis of addiction issues, treatment planning, group facilitation, and crisis management.

This program is a shared program with Nicolet Technical College. In this program you’ll also learn how to respect client rights, understand the complexity of addiction illnesses, and adhere to ethical guidelines. The degree will prepare you for entry-level work in facilities such as clinics, hospitals, community residential facilities, and various community and social services agencies.
