Agriculture & Welding

Agriculture and Stainless Steel Welding are two of Marshfield Campus’s specialties! Learn about the ag and welding programs you can get started on today.

Agribusiness Agronomy Technician
Cultivate your future in agriculture with the Agribusiness Agronomy Technician program. This program equips you with the skills needed to manage crop production, soil health, and pest control. You'll gain hands-on experience in the field, preparing you for a rewarding career in agronomy and sustainable farming practices. 

Agribusiness Science & Technology
Combine science, technology, and business in the dynamic Agribusiness Science & Technology program. This program provides comprehensive training in agricultural production, management, and technology integration. Whether you’re interested in farm management or agricultural sales, this program prepares you to lead in the evolving agriculture industry. This program includes transfer opportunities to UW-River Falls and UW-Platteville.  

Farm Operation
Run your own farm or manage agricultural operations with confidence through the Farm Operation program. This program offers practical knowledge in livestock management, crop production, and business planning. Learn the ins and outs of operating a successful farm, with a strong focus on sustainability and profitability. Scheduled conveniently for busy farmers, classes start in October and end in March.  

Stainless Steel Welding
Perfect for high school students or anyone looking to gain valuable skills over the summer, Mid-State’s Stainless Steel Welding program at the Marshfield Campus offers hands-on training in a high-demand field. Complete this specialized course in just a few months and open the door to exciting career opportunities in industries like manufacturing and food processing!

Digital Marketing*

Information Technology
Our information technology courses and programs get you on the front lines of cutting-edge computer technology. Associate degree programs include IT Cybersecurity Specialist, IT Network Specialist, and IT Software Developer. Students taking either the IT Cybersecurity Specialist program or the IT Network Specialist program will earn an IT User Support Technician technical diploma during the first year of their program.

Leadership Development

Emergency Services

Start your career in public safety with Mid-State’s Fire Service Certification, Emergency Medical Technician, or Advanced Emergency Medical Technician program. High schoolers can even complete the Fire Service Certification program before graduation with our Fire Service Certification Academy. Specialized emergency services courses are also available! 

The Marshfield Fire & Rescue Training Center provides real-world experience for students entering fire protection and emergency services.

Fire Services Training 
Prepare for a challenging and rewarding career in fire services training! Designed for those ready to step into the front lines, these classes offer rigorous, hands-on training in fire suppression, rescue operations, and emergency response. Including Entry Level Fire, Haz-Mat Operations, Fire I, and Fire II, Driver Operator/Pumper, and more! Whether you’re starting as a fire fighter or advancing your skills, Mid-State’s Marshfield Campus offers the essential education and hands-on training needed to excel in this vital field. 

EMT and EMT-A
Start your career in emergency medical services with Mid-State’s Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program, where you'll learn essential skills such as patient care, trauma management, and life support. For those looking to advance their expertise, the Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) program builds on this foundation, offering additional training in advanced patient assessment, airway management, and medication administration. Whether you’re beginning your journey in EMS or seeking to elevate your role, these programs provide the critical knowledge and hands-on experience needed to succeed in the field. 

CPR and First Aid 
Mid-State is a proud training center for the American Heart Association (AHA). We offer a variety of CPR and first aid training courses for the general public and health care providers.

EMR and EMT Refresher
Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Refresher courses are offered throughout the year to meet the training needs of the Marshfield area. 

Health Sciences

Dental Assistant
Step into a rewarding healthcare career as a Dental Assistant. This program provides the hands-on training you need to assist dentists, perform patient care, and manage office operations. Medical Assistant
Prepare for a versatile career in healthcare with the Medical Assistant program. You'll gain experience in both clinical and administrative tasks, from taking vital signs to managing patient records. This program is designed to equip you with the skills needed to support physicians and healthcare teams in a variety of settings. Night and weekend classes are available!  

Nursing
The Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) program at Mid-State prepares each graduate to work successfully as a registered nurse (RN). Students acquire a balance of knowledge and technical skills in physical and biological sciences, social sciences, and nursing. They also contribute to classroom discussion, learning projects, simulation labs, and hands-on clinical experiences at area healthcare agencies.

Nursing Assistant *
Begin your nursing career with the Nursing Assistant program at the Marshfield Campus. This program provides the essential training required to provide compassionate care in hospitals, nursing homes, and other healthcare settings. As a certified nursing assistant, you'll be a key part of the patient care team or continue you education in nursing!  

Phlebotomy Technician
Master the art of blood collection with the Phlebotomy Technician program. You'll learn the skills needed to perform blood draws and handle specimens in various healthcare environments. This program is perfect for those looking to enter the healthcare field quickly and make a difference in patient care. 

Respiratory Therapy
Help patients breathe easier by becoming a respiratory therapist. This program offers in-depth training in assessing and treating patients with respiratory conditions. Surgical Technology
Join the surgical team as a surgical technologist. Marshfield Fire & Rescue Training Center 

The Marshfield Fire & Rescue Training Center is a conveniently located training facility that allows for fire protection and emergency services training to occur closer to regional career and volunteer fire departments. 

Tailored Solutions for Adults and Employers Roadshow

These events provides direct access to expert consultations, making it easy for employers and adults to explore solutions for career and business success.
