Mid-State Technical College recognized the achievements of its 37 Nursing program completers in a pinning ceremony Dec. 17 on the Wisconsin Rapids Campus.

Mid-State Technical College’s fall 2024 graduates were recognized during the College’s biannual commencement ceremony on the Wisconsin Rapids Campus, Saturday, Dec. 14. Out of a class of 417 graduates across the College's four campuses, 130 crossed the stage to receive their diploma.

Mid-State Technical College announces its Tailored Solutions for Adults and Employers Roadshow, a unique event series designed to bring personalized workforce and adult education services directly to rural communities. 

Mid-State Technical College will host high school and middle school students from across the state to compete in the Regional SkillsUSA® Competition on Friday, Jan. 17.

Mid-State Technical College will host its mid-year graduation with an indoor ceremony at the Wisconsin Rapids Campus at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14.

Mid-State Technical College has been selected as a top-10 Bellwether Award finalist in the category of Planning, Governance and Finance. The annual award honors innovative community college programs and practices that address critical issues facing community colleges across the country. Mid-State is the only college in Wisconsin to be named a finalist. 

Arborist dual credit students from Auburndale High School recently enjoyed a unique training opportunity at the inaugural Tree Tech event at Mid-State Technical College.

The Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) Board and Mid-State Technical College honored Gamber-Johnson Tuesday with the 2024 Futuremaker Partner Award. The award was presented to Gamber-Johnson CEO Gautam Malik at the Nov. 12 WTCS board meeting at Mid-State’s Wayne H. Bushman Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, and Apprenticeship (AMETATM) Center in Stevens Point.

Mid-State Technical College’s Stevens Point campus will now feature “downtown” in its official name. The College formalized the new name, Stevens Point Downtown Campus, with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, Nov. 7. The event also kicked off the beginning of a year-long celebration of the 10th anniversary of the move to downtown.

Professional networking organization Women We Admire has named Mid-State Technical College President Dr. Shelly Mondeik to its list of Top Women Leaders of Wisconsin for 2024. The designation marks the second year in a row Mondeik has made the list.
