High school seniors invited to Mid-State’s Admit Day celebration

March 31, 2025

Mid-State Technical College is inviting all high school seniors in its district to its annual Admit Day celebration event on Friday, May 2, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on the Wisconsin Rapids Campus.

Admit Day is the symbolic beginning of a student’s college career and a celebration of their decision to enroll at Mid-State. At the event, students will receive a certificate of admission, tour campus, meet with their advisor and get to know their program instructors.

“We are so excited to host these new students and their families at our fifth annual Admit Day and officially welcome them to the Mid-State community,” said Jackie Esselman, dean of Recruitment and Admissions. “Our Admit Day event is held each year at the beginning of May to align with National College Decision Day. Deciding on a college after high school is a major life decision that deserves to be celebrated.”

Over 1,500 local high school seniors were automatically accepted to Mid-State through its Direct Admission program in 2025. The effort is a partnership between Mid-State and local high schools to remove college admission barriers and further Wisconsin’s 60 Forward initiative.
