The Mid-State Foundation annual Trapshoot Fundraiser raises over $6,000 for student emergency grants
The Mid-State Technical College Foundation, Inc., held its ninth annual Trapshoot Fundraiser on Sept. 20 at the Wisconsin Trapshooting Association in Nekoosa. The event combined fun and friendly competition to raise over $6,000 for emergency grant programs that benefit students in financial need.
Fourteen teams and two individuals, totaling 70 participants, competed at the event. The two highest-scoring teams, top female, top male and top youth were awarded cash prizes.

- Top male shooter: Jon Lendved
- Top youth shooter: Carson Bender
“Each year, the Trapshoot Fundraiser brings the community together to help support our students,” said Nikki Dhein, donor relations manager. “We are thankful for the generosity of the participants and volunteers that made this event a huge success and we’re excited to host the tenth Trapshoot Fundraiser next fall.”
Donations are always being accepted for emergency funds as well as food pantries located at all Mid-State campuses and the Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, and Apprenticeship (AMETA™) Center. Those wishing to support students in need can make donations by contacting the Mid-State Foundation or calling 715-422-5322. Donations can also be made in person at the Wisconsin Rapids Campus or online at mstc.edu/giving-opportunities.
