Mid-State Technical College will host the 2024 Wisconsin Women in Higher Education Leadership (WWHEL) Conference on Wednesday, Nov. 13, and Thursday, Nov. 14, at the Wisconsin Rapids Campus. All who work in higher education and interested in career advancement and networking are invited to attend.

This year’s WWHEL Conference, The CEO of You: Pairing Balance with the Life You Desire, will focus on work-life balance, career development and wellness.

"We are honored here at Mid-State to host this year’s Wisconsin Women in Higher Education Leadership Conference,” said Mid-State President Dr. Shelly Mondeik. “The WWHEL organization is dedicated to fostering leadership development within the higher education systems across our state.”

“As a proud member of the State WWHEL Board, I have experienced firsthand how this organization has shaped my own leadership journey,” Mondeik added. “Most recently, I was honored to be named the ACCT Central Region CEO of the Year, and I want to express my gratitude to WWHEL for being a vital part of my professional development."

The conference kicks off on Nov. 13 at 5:00 p.m. with an evening social, including dinner, networking, prizes and a presentation from Dr. Shelly Mondeik. The main event on Nov. 14 will feature a keynote address from Mandy Froehlich, author and technology and mental health advocate, two breakout sessions, lunch and a fashion show and a panel discussion.
