Mid-State announces scholarship and event for transfer students
Mid-State Technical College is offering a transfer event and scholarship to make it easier to transfer to Mid-State this spring.
Applications are now being accepted for Mid-State’s new Transfer Opportunity Scholarship. Five scholarships at $1,000 each will be awarded and applied to tuition for the spring semester. To be eligible, applicants must be transferring from an accredited post-secondary college or university within the last two semesters.
“It is a great time to transfer to Mid-State,” said Allyse Sullivan, adult outreach coordinator and pathway navigator. “We are here to support students in finding their perfect fit in a program or building their educational journey.”
“The Transfer Opportunity Scholarship was created for students whose goals may have changed since starting college,” Sullivan added. "Whether a four-year university wasn’t right for you or you’re looking for a change, we’re here to help you on your path.”
In addition to the scholarship opportunity, those interested in transferring to Mid-State are invited to the Taco ‘Bout Transferring event to be held on Wednesday, Nov. 29, from 4 to 7 p.m. on the Stevens Point Campus. The event will feature all steps needed in the transfer process including requesting transcripts from previous colleges, applying to Mid-State, discussing financial aid and scholarship opportunities and more. Learn more and register for Taco ‘Bout Transferring at mstc.edu/taco-transfer.
The deadline to apply for the Transfer Opportunity Scholarship is Friday, Dec. 1. Learn more and apply at mstc.edu/transfer-scholarship.
