Mid-State Technical College will kick off its first three Program Exploration events this fall to showcase applied technology, nursing and university transfer programs.

•    School of Applied Technology: Wednesday, Oct. 25, from 5 to 7 p.m. on the Wisconsin Rapids Campus.
•    Nursing: Monday, Oct. 30, from 4 to 6 p.m. on the Wisconsin Rapids Campus.
•    University Transfer: Thursday, Nov. 16, from 4 to 6 p.m. on the Stevens Point Campus.

Each event will feature opportunities to experiences hands-on activities, tour classrooms, meet with faculty and current students and learn about financial aid and scholarship options. 

“The Program Exploration events are perfect for anyone interested in a certain field but undecided on a specific career,” said Jackie Esselman, dean of Recruitment and Admissions. “Attendees will begin the admission process by completing the Mid-State application for free and connect with Mid-State resources to set them up for success.” 

“Each event will be unique to the programs being highlighted,” added Esselman. “For example, during the Nursing Program Exploration, attendees will take the Mid-State Shuttle to the state-of-the-art Healthcare Simulation Center at Aspirus Riverview Hospital.”
