Mid-State announces $5,000 scholarship for high school seniors
Applications are now being accepted for Mid-State Technical College’s $5,000 “Big Decision Scholarship.” The scholarship was created as a limited-time opportunity for 2024 high school seniors undecided on their path after graduation to help make the decision easier.
To be eligible, applicants must be graduating high school in 2024 and admitted to Mid-State. Funding for the scholarship is provided by the Mid-State Technical College Foundation, Inc.
“We are so excited to bring back the Big Decision Scholarship this year,” said Jackie Esselman, dean of Recruitment and Admissions. “Five thousand dollars goes a long way towards covering the cost of education at Mid-State and will even cover the entire cost for about half of our programs and certificates. This is an opportunity graduating high school seniors don’t want to miss.”
“Deciding on a college and career path can be intimidating, so this scholarship was created to ease the transition from high school to college,” said Micki Dirks-Luebbe, director of Foundation and Alumni. “Scholarships like these are only made possible by our generous donors and the leadership of our Foundation Board, who support our mission to invest in student success.”
