About Leana Nakielski Mesdjian

Leana Nakielski Mesdjian has over 25 years of experience in advancing community and social impact within the nonprofit and corporate sectors. From building sustainable community food systems to fostering global peace through Montessori education to helping small businesses grow, her focus has always been on empowering people towards equity. A dedicated mother and immigrant’s daughter, Leana holds an executive MBA from UW-Madison where she earned her degree in agriculture and applied economics. She is a published author, board member, social entrepreneur, and passionate advocate for innovation in democracy. Having received several awards for her impactful work in the community, Leana believes the greatest reward is sharing and learning from one another.
