Mid-State launches Cyber Range cybersecurity trainings
Mid-State is introducing its new Cyber Range cybersecurity training for all skill levels. Mid-State’s Cyber Range prepares individuals for cyber threats through live, hands-on training with real-world environments.
The Cyber Range simulates specific ransomware, advanced persistent threat (APT) tactics and phishing threats to equip teams with experience and tools to defend against cyberattacks. Individual or team trainings can be customized by experience level, tools, threats and more. Virtual and in-person options are available.
“We are excited to offer this new cyber range training to our community,” said Craig Bernstein, Workforce and Professional Development director. “This type of training is becoming increasingly important as cyberattacks become more sophisticated and widespread. The cyber range offers a unique training experience and is one of the best ways to be prepared for cyberattacks.”
“Training in a cyber range is much like firefighters training on a live fire,” said Matt Meis, Information Technology instructor. “You get to use the same tools you use at work and see real techniques, tactics and procedures (TTPs) that current APTs are using. Prepare for an incident the same way you would respond to one, with a live fire drill in our Cyber Range.”
