Mid-State Technical College is partnered with Lawyers for Learners, an online legal platform for college students.
Lawyers for Learners is a collaboration between colleges, businesses, law firms, and legal aid organizations to connect students in Wisconsin with free, confidential legal assistance so they can achieve their educational or career goals. Assistance is available on a variety of topics, including:
- Bankruptcy and debt
- Criminal records
- Driver’s license recovery
- Employment and business
- Family matters
- Housing
- Immigration
- Public benefits
- And more
Getting Started
Requesting help is easy! Students can go to the Lawyers for Learners website and share some basic information about themselves and their legal issue. They’ll then be contacted to schedule an appointment with a legal expert. The assistance the legal expert provides varies depending on the situation but could include advice, a consultation, or full-scale representation.
