Farm Rescue Safety Invitational
Mid-State Technical College, in partnership with Heartland Farms, Inc., Waushara County EMS, Waushara County Emergency Management, and Coloma Fire Department, invite fire, EMS, and emergency management personnel from the MABAS Division 151 and surrounding counties to join us for the Farm Rescue Safety Invitational. This event includes training, learning, demonstrations, and scenarios using today’s giant farm equipment. The Farm Rescue Safety Invitational is an opportunity to learn from experts in our area on topics that impact the industry.

Registration Fee
- Early Bird Registration for Waushara County and MABIS 151 Responding Personnel: $50 (responding by end of day February 14)
- Regular Rate for Waushara County and MABIS Responding Personnel: $65 (after February 14)
- EMS Responders not in Waushara County or MABIS 151: $65
Registration is required by March 14.

| 8:00 – 10:00 a.m. | Session 1 - David Briggs and Assistants |
| 10:00 a.m. – Noon | Session 2 - Hazardous Materials Safety discussion and approach to incidents involving commonly used farm inputs such as Anhydrous Ammonia and liquid nitrogen fertilizers. |
| Noon – 1:30 p.m. | Lunch - Provided by Heartland Farms During this time, participants will have an opportunity to try out Hazmat suits to get familiar with them. |
| 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. | Session 3 - Tom Schultz and Heartland Farms Staff Play it safe with hydraulic systems and other implement power sources. A closer look at farm equipment along with information and instruction to consider when encountering modern farm equipment. |
| 3:30 – 4:00 p.m. | Final Words and Thank You |
