As we celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Mid-State's move to downtown Stevens Point, let's turn back the pages of history together. This land has evolved from a flowing slough to a sprawling mall before becoming the Mid-State campus we know today.

However, since 1914 there has been public technical training in this community. Originally known as the Stevens Point Technical College, this institution has helped thousands of students grow their skills and find local employment. When Wisconsin formed official technical school districts, Mid-State's education program was able to expand and merge with the college here. Now local students have more opportunities than ever before.

Join Portage County Historical Society Curator, Cheyenne Antell, for a presentation to learn the history of the land on 1001 Centerpoint Drive, the original Stevens Point Technical College, and how Mid-State has tied these two stories together.
