Those interested in the health and wellness of people find satisfying careers in the Health Sciences cluster. Less than 40 percent of healthcare professionals in the US are doctors and nurses, while allied health professionals make up an estimated 60 percent. Shortages in nearly all health professions are creating promising futures in these careers.
Planning, managing, and providing therapeutic services, diagnostic services, health informatics, support services, and biotechnology research and development are all functions of health science careers.
