The future of industry is here—and central Wisconsin is ready. Now open in Stevens Point, the Wayne H. Bushman Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, and Apprenticeship (AMETA™) Center is a cutting-edge training destination to cultivate Wisconsin’s next generation workforce. Are you ready to embark on this journey with Mid-State and ride the coming wave of growth and opportunity?
New technologies and processes are already being implemented throughout a wide variety of industries in central Wisconsin. These include precision machining and inspection, robotic machine tending, lights-out manufacturing, automated manufacturing, and process control automation. The AMETA Center is meeting the rising demand for these exciting new technical skills and propelling the future of industrial careers locally and throughout the state.
Offerings
The AMETA Center houses new and expanded advanced manufacturing and engineering degree programs as well as apprenticeship training. It also provides new and expanded workforce training and industry certifications. In short, it is a hub for innovation, connection, and economic growth in central Wisconsin.

Scholarship Opportunities
Earn up to $2,500 each semester to use towards the Precision Machining Technician technical diploma program! Any new student beginning the Precision Machining Technician program is eligible to apply.

AMETA Center Showcases are an opportunity for high school students to tour the brand new, state-of-the-art Center and learn about the programs offered there.

Facility Rental
Reserve space at our AMETA Center for your next event! Spaces available at our AMETA Center include a divided training room, computer labs, and conference rooms along with multiple standard classrooms to fit a variety of your needs. Our largest space at the AMETA center is the community engagement room and can be divided if desired. This space seats 80 participants.
