Mid-State Technical College, in partnership with Honeycomb Consulting, invite statewide professionals to join the Wisconsin Level Up Convention!

The 2024 Level Up Convention serves as a pivotal gathering for thought leaders, educators, business executives, and community organizers dedicated to forging a resilient and skilled workforce in Wisconsin. Amidst a challenging workforce crisis, this convention presents an innovative platform for collaboration, learning, and strategic planning. By focusing on education, business engagement, and community support, the event aims to lay down actionable pathways for talent development and attraction in the state.

This event will focus on the three tracks that are pivotal to attracting and retaining our future workforce.

  • Track One: Education (K-12 and Post-Secondary) – This track emphasizes the critical role of educational institutions in preparing students for the future job market. Sessions will cover curriculum innovation, partnerships with industries, career readiness programs, and the integration of technology and vocational training in both K-12 and higher education settings.
  • Track Two: Business Sector – Focused on the business community's pivotal role in workforce development, this track will explore how companies can engage in talent cultivation, offer apprenticeships and internships, and invest in continuous learning opportunities for employees. Discussions will also tackle the importance of creating inclusive workplaces that attract diverse talent and adapt to the evolving needs of the workforce.
  • Track Three: Support Networks (Local Chambers and More) – Highlighting the importance of community-based support in workforce development, this track will showcase how local chambers of commerce, nonprofit organizations, and other support networks can facilitate connections between employers, educational institutions, and job seekers. Workshops will focus on networking strategies, funding opportunities for workforce initiatives, and community engagement in talent attraction and retention efforts.
