The Experienced Riders Course (ERC) is designed for riders who already possess the basic operating skills necessary to maneuver a motorcycle. During this course, riders will hone their mental and physical abilities while riding their own safe, street-ready motorcycles. Exercises will include advance braking and cornering techniques and address the decision making process. Rider Coaches, trained by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation, will draw from the student's knowledge and experience while guiding them through this five hour course. Riders are required to utilize their own motorcycles for this course, and they must be insured.

Additional Provisions: Point reduction (three points) is available to those who successfully complete a motorcycle rider course. However, the reduction can only be applied if there are motorcycle violations on the record and the reduction must be on the record prior to the conviction date for the violation resulting in 12 points or more.
A point reduction cannot be applied if a previous point reduction occurred within five years. |
