Overview Prepare to begin a rewarding and lucrative career. Learn hair cutting, styling, coloring, permanent waving and chemical hair relaxing. Receive instruction in scalp treatments, manicuring and caring for wigs and hairpieces. Classes in business practices, sanitation and safety are also covered. Working on mannequins, other students and in a simulated working environment completes the practical component of your training. The Wisconsin Department of Regulation and Licensing licenses this program. Students must successfully complete 1800 hours of theoretical and practical instruction. The Cosmetology & Barbering program is a Technical Diploma and offered at MSTC's Wisconsin Rapids campus. |
