You may have been out of school for several years and wonder about the levels of your mathematics, reading and writing skills. Perhaps you're thinking of enrolling in college courses or applying for a new job.
ASC instructors can evaluate your academic skills using the TABE test - Test of Adult Basic Education. The complete TABE test, including all subject areas of reading, writing and mathematics, takes about three hours. You may have your skills assessed in one or all three areas. When you have completed the test, instructors will provide you with a diagnostic profile, explain your grade-level score and discuss your areas of strengths and weaknesses.
The TABE test helps instructors to place you in appropriate study materials so you can feel comfortable studying at the level you're at in each subject area.
